A total of 55 players of the Hong Kong Eastern Kimoni Badminton Team had participated in the 2005 World Chinese badminton Tournament in Shanghai, China from Oct. 29 to Nov.1, 2005.

There were many teams and individuals participated in different age group events in this tournament including Malaysia, USA, Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, China, Hong Kong….etc. The total number of participants is more than 1,500 people.

Many former world champions and badminton professionals also joined the tournament which made the tournament more exicited.

There were many excited games during the 3 days event.

Some of the Kimoni team's players had achieved excellent result in the tournament which includes :

Mr. Fung Siu Bao – Men's Singles Champions (Age 25 Group)
Mr. Alan Chan – Men's Singles Semi-finalist (Age 35 group)
Mr. Hui Kit & Mr. Tsang Hoi Fung – Men's Doubles 1st Runners-up (Age 40 group)
Mr. Wong Cheong Lung – Men's Singles 1st Runners-up (Age 65 Group)
…etc.
